摘要: Abstract Neural control and modulation of gastric secretion is well established. The role the parasympathetic vagal system as a final motor pathway in acid clearer than involvement sympathetic nervous system. Both portions autonomic system, however, appear to play an important pathogenesis at least experimentally induced erosions. With respect higher neural there are numerous reports hypothalamic effects on secretion, motility, morphology, yet results many these equivocal. This ambiguity can be attributed part species differences, time course observations, differences stimulation lesion parameters. However, major problem has been that most studies have not provided adequate histological description sites central lesions stimulation. Implications several concerning functions reviewed recent methodological advances including fiber transection, relatively specific cell damage with neurotoxins (e.g., 6-OHDA, kainic acid), histochemistry intracerebral infusions gut hormones suggested alternative approaches studying brain-gut relationships.
