摘要: Abstract The oxygen ion conductor yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ), which is usually used as the electrolyte of SOFC, operates at high temperatures about 1000 °C. recent trend in developing SOFC to reduce operating temperature. Proton conducting cerates may allow intermediate temperature operation for applications. Rare-earth-doped BaCeO3 electrolytes with perovskite structure present good protonic conductivities moderate but rather poor chemical stability and endurance moisture. Barium zirconate, contrast, a stable material exhibits low conductivity. We then focused on practical BaZr0.4Ce0.4In0.2O3 (BZCI) that has relatively durability against moisture However, little known its electrochemical properties reducing hydrogen. In this work, BZCI were investigated concentration cell fuel operations. From results measurements, it was revealed proton hydrogen-rich atmospheres behaves oxide ionic oxygen-rich atmospheres, some extent electronic conductivity, lowers transport number. Open circuit voltage (OCV) measurements Fuel operations showed OCV value Pt| BZCI| Pt 870 mV 800 °C 1020 mV 600 °C.
