摘要: Abstract A series of novel proton exchange membranes based on Nafion ® and 2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS) modified montmorillonite (MMT) were prepared investigated for high performance fuel cell applications. X-ray diffraction patterns revealed an exfoliated microstructure the clay in matrices. Proton conductivity methanol permeability results indicated that incorporation AMPS-modified MMT into matrices considerably reduced crossover while maintaining properties. Direct methanol–air single tests a efficiency 20% /AMPS-MMT-3 wt.% compared to 13.72% 117 at 5 M feed, also higher power density 88 mW cm −2 39 mW cm 117. Owing such favorable features, fabricated /AMPS-MMT could be considered as promising polymeric electrolytes
