摘要: At high proton-beam energies, beam-induced synchrotron radiation is an important source of heating, beam-related vacuum pressure increase, and primary photoelectrons, which can give rise to electron cloud. We use the Synrad3D code developed at Cornell simulate photon distributions in arcs LHC, HLLHC, FCC-hh. Specifically, for LHC we study effect “sawtooth” chamber, HL-LHC consequences ATS optics with large beta beating arcs, FCC-hh a novel beam-screen design, long slit surrounded by “folded” antechamber.
