摘要: Maintenance of genomic stability is crucial in ensuring cellular homeostasis and perpetuation life. Perpetuation the genetic information relies upon faithful replication genome. Mutations, generated during DNA synthesis and/or cell division induced by exposure to external chemical agents, are drivers associated instability believed fuel malignant transformation. Curious‐ ly, pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) characterized a high degree unknown origin, which resembles that observed cancer cells. This peculiar feature PSCs raises questions reasons responsible for this apparent aberrant regulation how genome integrity kept under control. Genomic also important concerns about their use regenerative medicine, sets severe limitations clinical applications. The aim chapter review current knowledge molecular grounds diverse such as embryonic (ESCs), (iPSCs), adult (ASCs) We will these features undermine applications discuss new emerging perspectives aimed at reducing so improve
