A resolution for a quiet revolution : taking the United Nations to sustainable development 'beyond aid'

摘要: What is the future role of United Nations development system, how will it function and what are necessary means? The UNDS seems to be well positioned play a key in implementing Sustainable Development Agenda. Preparations for paradigm shift require reforms. This paper contributes these debates by taking Quadrennial Comprehensive Policy Review (QCPR) as starting point. QCPR has evolved into vehicle making system-wide reforms within UNDS. There currently no organic link between mandate operations because only fragments negotiated exist. suggests could realise ‘quiet revolution’ using fundamental yet achievable instill perspective among various UN organizations. seen right give new sense purpose adapts its business model from aid sustainable development. It recommends that Member States upgrade strategy links means – similar corporate world.
