摘要: The neural mechanisms underlying the perception of complex odor mixtures are largely unknown. present study investigated hypothesis that odorants in a mixture processed and perceived series. results indicate (i) temporally with up to several hundred milliseconds separating individual components; (ii) 'fast' more likely be suppressor 'slow' than reverse; (iii) separation times can altered by changing concentrations components. These findings provide new mechanism account for limited ability humans identify suppression.
