摘要: Diagnosis of intestinal disease related to vascular disorders could represent a critical diagnostic challenge for the emergency radiologist. Terms such as “ischemia” and “infarction” intestine are often used erroneously synonyms: however, whereas ischemia be totally reversible event, infarction corresponds tissue death with no chance heal. Both terms indicate different degrees or stages an injury caused by interruption blood supply tissue. It is possible distinguish three main conditions underlying ischemic event: arterial deficiency mainly embolism thrombosis; impaired venous drainage; decreased mesenteric flow low-flow state. Acute can considered real, true because associated significant mortality rate, which extremely high. A prompt diagnosis any disorder imperative. However, most patients affected bowel present nonspecific signs symptoms, it difficult diagnose infarction. Diagnostic imaging especially multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) great help in management acute abdomen suspected ischemia. Knowledge pathophysiology essential order recognize findings pathologic changes from causes. In this chapter, MDCT drainage insufficiency involving small large will considered, considering also criteria differential diagnosis.
