摘要: The hydrodynamic parameters associated with steady longitudinal and lateral (radial) flow of helium in several widely-used pulse tube Stirling cryocooler regenerator fillers were measured correlated this investigation. Pressure drops test sections packed experimentally measured. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) models the their vicinities developed simulations performed which modeled as porous media. By iterative repetition simulations, radial permeability Forchheimer inertial coefficients determined such that they would lead to agreement between experimental measurements simulations. included 325 400 mesh stainless steel screens, metal foam, sintered a stack micromachined perforated plates. response also friction factors. results confirm aforementioned are anisotropic.
