摘要: We report on a joint theoretical and experimental study of an integrated photonic device consisting single mode waveguide vertically coupled to disk-shaped microresonator. Starting from the general theory open systems, we show how presence neighboring induces reactive inter-mode coupling in resonator, analogous off-diagonal Lamb shift atomic physics. Observable consequences this manifest as peculiar Fano lineshapes transmission spectra. The predictions are validated by full vectorial 3D finite element numerical simulations confirmed experiments.
