摘要: Six regions of northwestern (NW) Baja California (Sierra de Juarez, Sierra San Pedro Martir, Punta Banda, Colonet, Quintin and Valle Tranquilo) were compared for their floristic diversity. Checklists each region analyzed by total, native, endemic floras to give measures similarity overlap, identify the strongest gradients affecting species distributions. Each was floristically distinct, with significant variation in distribution state taxa. The six are readily differentiated geographical position a Principal Components Analysis. (a) W–E gradient from coast mountains (b) latitudinal N S. These adjacent found within local global biodiversity hotspot that is subject intense conservation challenges. Conservation many areas essential adequately preserve diversity locally taxa restricted ranges, yet lacks any protected at federal level. Private reserves such as Reserva Natural may be critical regionally
