摘要: Abstract Scarce data are available so far on emissions in a given scenario for excavation and thermal desorption, common practice, of soils contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). As part China action “Cleanup Plan PCBs Burial Sites”, this study roughly estimated the capacitor-burial site. The concentrations total (22 congeners) were range 2.1–16,000 μg/g mean 2300 μg/g, among same order magnitude as highest values obtained various PCBs-contaminated sites. Only six congeners belonging to Di-, Tri-, Tetra-CBs observed above limits detection air samples scenario, partially which can be by USEPA emission model. Comparing composition profiles soil further indicated leaked source commercial formulations trichlorobiphenyl (China PCB no. 1). measures taken if any mitigate volatilization movement minimize worker exposure discussed improvements practice.
