L - Kynurenine α ketoglutarate aminotransferase catalyzes the transfer -amino group to α-ketoglutarate yield L-glutamate and o-aminobenzoylpyruvic acid, which is immediately converted intramolecularly dehydrated cyclized form, kynurenic acid. The describes assay method, purification procedures, general properties L-kynurenine-α-ketoglutarate yeast, method routinely employed based on spectrophotometric determination acid formed.
