摘要: A phenomenological approach to deeply inelastic collisions between heavy ions is suggested. The average reaction amplitude parametrized in a simple form which emphasizes the strong localization of this process angular-momentum space, initial and grazing angular momenta. energy dissipated by radial friction. loss related lifetime intermediate two-nucleus complex. phase determined requiring that distributions are peaked at angles predicted previous classical calculations. resulting expression used study distribution products interaction 288 MeV40Ar with232Th. Seventeen curves satisfactorily described terms only four parameters. absolute values experimental crosssections determine level density final states. function similar obtained from analyses low-energy neutron data.
