摘要: Sugar beet cultivation is highly dependent on the supply of high quality seed as carriers specific and requested varietal characteristics. Seed production biennial sugar conducted in two main phases: small plants (stecklings) first year vegetative growth second after bolting flowering vernalized plants. Optimal conditions for are mainly found regions with a Mediterranean climate. Parental lines hybrid specifically handled to ensure level purity quality. Particular post-harvest processing steps techniques well integrated select lot fractions best highest field emergence potential. Additionally, seeds covered by developed pellets support their placement fields act plant protection agents. During last few years an increasing amount were also subjected pre-treatments order further improve characteristics optimal establishment fields.
