A Statistical Reduced-Reference Approach to Digital Image Quality Assessment

摘要: In the paper a fast method of digital image quality estimation is proposed. Our approach based on Monte Carlo applied for some classical and modern full-reference assessment methods, such as Structural Similarity SVD-based measure. Obtained results are compared to effects achieved using full analysis techniques. Significant reduction number analysed pixels or blocks leads efficient especially in low performance systems where processing speed much more important than accuracy assessment.
