Combined pelvic muscle exercise and yoga program for urinary incontinence in middle‐aged women

摘要: Aim Urinary incontinence is a major health problem among middle-aged women. Pelvic muscle exercise one of the primary interventions, but difficulty performing this has led researchers to seek alternative or conjunctive exercise. This study aimed examine effect combined pelvic and yoga intervention program on urinary incontinence. Methods A single group pre-/post-test design was used. Subjects were recruited from community center in Seoul, Korea, questionnaire survey conducted. Fifty-five women participated first day program, 34 whom completed 8 week, twice weekly program. Urinary measured by five domains tract symptoms: filling factor, voiding sexual function, quality life. Also attitude toward strength. Results Significant improvements found exercise, strength, factor. Daily performance positively correlated with improved factor life related symptoms. Conclusion A effective for improving overall attendees Korea. Further needed control group, different populations, longer period.
