摘要: Understanding climate-glacier dynamics in High Mountain Asia is of critical importance to address issues including water resources, sea-level rise, mountain geodynamics, natural hazards and ecosystem sustainability. The Karakoram Himalaya arguably the least understood region, given its extreme topography, climate-system coupling, advancing surge-type glaciers that exhibit complex flow patterns. Glacier fluctuations are highly variable space time because numerous controlling factors, westerlies, Indian summer monsoon, various teleconnections, topographic effects, glacier debris-cover characteristics, dynamics, geological conditions. influence integrative coupling forcing however, has not been adequately assessed for characterizing Himalaya. Given scarcity in-situ data difficulty conducting fieldwork on these glaciers, recent research focused utilizing remote sensing, geospatial technologies, scientific modeling obtain baseline information about state region. This review summarizes our current knowledge interaction, Himalaya, demonstrates complexities geodynamics dynamics. Innovative analysis also presented support discussion.
