Lipofibromatous hamartomas of the median nerve

摘要: Five cases of lipofibromatous hamartoma the median nerve are reported. The initial onset symptoms and recognition a mass occurred in adults four cases. fifth patient was an infant when first noticed, she also had macrodactyly. Treatment included carpal tunnel release three patients, one whom required second procedure for excision sural grafting. Nerve ablation without grafting performed other two patients; these patients noticed no sensory or motor deficit after surgery. From this small series we cannot recommend preferred treatment each case must be approached on individual basis. diagnosis is best confirmed by biopsy.
