摘要: The growth of the human population has profoundly affected global ecosystem, influencing animal balance, availability fresh water, arable land, biotic production, and atmospheric gases. ecological impact significantly accelerated evolutionary change numerous organisms. For example, production medicine food resulted in rapid evolution drug-resistant pathogenic organisms as well plants insects resistant to pesticides (Palumbi, 2001). Recently, nutritional support relied on vast monoculture domestic mammals birds, which facilitated emergence enzootic that infect both animals humans. This chapter will focus threat health represented by highly contagious virus influenza. It also discuss current efforts future improvements protect humans from influenza epidemics pandemics.
