摘要: Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) is a highly enteropathogenic coronavirus of swine that causes acute enteritis with high mortality in nursery piglets. To date, the cellular factors involved PEDV replication have not been well defined. The extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) serves as critical component signal transduction pathways to modulate variety functions has shown regulate several viral infections. In present study, we found activates ERK1/2 early infection independently replication. PEDV-induced activation resulted phosphorylation its downstream substrate Elk-1 infected cells. Treatment ERK inhibitors or knockdown significantly suppressed progeny production. Inhibition also diminished protein expression and genomic subgenomic RNA transcription. These findings indicate signaling pathway plays an important role life cycle beneficially contributes infection.
