摘要: According to recent studies showing that human papillomavirus (HPV) infections can be influenced by sex steroid hormones, we performed estrogen (ER) and progesterone (PgR) receptor assays in fresh frozen biopsies of genital-HPV-related lesions. Seventy-three women with normal cervix, condyloma, low- high-grade CIN squamous carcinoma were evaluated comparison 15 persons vulvar 9 penile papillomavirus-associated HPV genotypes determined dot-blot hybridization. Non-cervical lesions did not express HR. Condyloma on metaplasia the cervix expressed high levels HR, particularly PgR (mean 4,086 4,518 fmoles/g tissue, respectively). Cervical very low concentrations a limited number cases. High correlated (p less than 0.05), HPV16-18-associated 0.01) ER HPV6-11-related 0.01). The independent age, cycle stage oral contraception. Morphological localization PgR, using an immunocytochemical method monoclonal antibody (MAb) (PR-ICA), showed intense homogeneous staining nuclei stromal fibroblasts underlying dysplastic epithelium condyloma metaplasia. These results suggest that, under vivo conditions, progesterone, may act indirectly HPV-infected epithelial cells implicated as co-factors HPV-related cervical neoplasia. They could explain relative predisposition malignant transformation compared mucosa.
