摘要: This report describes the history of regional planning and growth management in California, focusing on transportation, land use, environmental planning. The author divides state's reform efforts into three distinct movements: 1) consolidation activities under central city governments; 2) fragmentation those during post-World War II suburbanization; 3) recent attempts to re-integrate them without changing fundamental structures political authority.
