摘要: Volumetric Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks have been a recurrent issue on the Internet. These generate flooding fake network traffic to interfere with targeted servers or links. Despite many efforts detect and mitigate them, attackers played game always circumventing countermeasures. Today, there is an increase in number infected devices, even more advent Internet Things flexible communication technologies. Leveraging device-to-device short range wireless communications others, devices can coordinate sophisticated botnets, which be employed intensify DDoS attacks. The new generation botnets harder because their adaptive dynamic behavior yielded by mobile portable devices. Additionally, large geographically distributed significantly. In face increasing volume traffic, novel intelligent-driven approaches are required. Specifically, we advocate for {\em anticipating} trends early stages as much possible. This work provides overview that anticipate generated brings insightful discussion about advantages each kind approach open issues.
