摘要: This paper identifies the factors that affect farmers’ decision to participate in a dairy hub. It also examines impacts of hub participation on rural household welfare measured by farm yields and net returns Kenya. The study utilises farm-level data 826 Kenyan small-scale farmers. casual impact is estimated utilising endogenous switching regression. helps estimating true effect controlling role selection problem decision. empirical results indicate education, extension services, credit access, landholding, tropical livestock unit, distance hub, off-farm work size mainly determine was found significantly increases returns.
