摘要: Rice yellow mottle virus (RYMV) is a widespread and damaging rice pathogen in Africa. The presence, infectivity transmissibility of RYMV seeds six wild host species were investigated. In serological analyses by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), each four isolates used was detected individual (Oryza barthii O. longistaminata) the standard susceptible BG 90-2 (O. sativa). Virus detection other (Dactyloctenium aegyptium, Eragrostis ciliaris, E. tenella tremula) unsuccessful single but positive reactions obtained for extracts made from several seeds. infectious freshly-harvested seed whatever plant or isolate. However, most lost dried seeds, possibly due to inactivation following dehydration Despite presence dry no evidence transmission through species, species-virus isolate combination. unlikely be transmitted its and, therefore, dissemination epidemics do not originate infected
