A case study on statistical wireline log parameters in identifying shallow-water delta microfacies of Late Dongying Formation, northern Liaozhong Depression, Bohai Bay Basin

摘要: The shallow-water deltaic deposits turn out to be one of the most potential reservoirs in Late Dongying Formation northern Liaozhong Depression. Previous studies prove it difficult identify microfacies delta with conventional methods. In this paper, a new statistical method wireline logs verified cores is proposed solve identification issue. It aims combine measurements lithofacies produce an automatic lithologic description shallow-deltaic deposits. meanwhile, characteristics can shown by box map, standard QQ chart, anti-trend and crossplot resulted from parameters. Based on charts mentioned above, summarized for core photos. Finally, parameters are proved capable identifying study area. addition significance academia, its application great importance discovering reservoirs. Because channel-fill sandstones conglomerates frequently host important hydrocarbon reserves. Consequently, investigating significant economically as well.
