AZITROMICINA NO TRATAMENTO DA ERLICHIOSE MONOCÍTICA EM CÃES NATURALMENTE INFECTADOS

摘要: The aims of this study were to evaluate the effectiveness treatment with azithromycin in dogs naturally infected E. canis, and analyse clinical hematological changes animals would show. Ten positive diagnosis for canis through Elisa Snap 4Dx test distributed into two groups, untreated treated azithromycin, 20 mg/kg, orally once a day seven days. In addition physical exam, complete blood counts (CBC), smears made out from ear margin order detect ehrlichial morulae nested PCR before post-treatment performed. We found that was not effective, since signs did disappear, as well there no return normal values CBC animas, neither elimination animals.
