摘要: The surfaces of Zn-doped biomagnetite nanostructured particles were functionalized with (3-mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilane (MPTMS) and used as a high-capacity collectable adsorbent for the removal Hg(II) from water. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) confirmed attachment MPTMS on particle surface. crystallite size was ∼17 nm, thickness coating ∼5 nm. Scanning transmission electron microscopy dynamic light scattering analyses revealed that formed aggregates in aqueous solution an average hydrodynamic 826 ± 32 Elemental indicate chemical composition is Zn(0.46)Fe(2.54)O(4), loading sulfur 3.6 mmol/g. MPTMS-modified has calculated saturation magnetization 37.9 emu/g can be separated water within minute using magnet. Sorption to much faster than other commercial sorbents, sorption isotherm industrial wastewater follows Langmuir model maximum capacity ∼416 mg/g, indicating two -SH groups bonded one Hg. This new sorbent stable range solutions, contaminated 0.5 M acid low leaching Fe, Zn, Si, S (<10%).
