[Cryotherapy after childbirth: the length of application and changes in perineal temperature].

摘要: We present a descriptive study based on the data from two clinical trials conducted at maternity hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil, 2008 and 2009. This aimed to describe perineal temperature after application of an ice pack during postpartum period. Three groups 38 women (n=114 total) received between 2 48 h delivery. The results showed that 10 minutes cryotherapy, mean varied 13.3 degreeCand 15.3 degree"C, with small reduction end 15- 20-minute applications (2.4 degreeC 2.7"C, respectively). Women who cryotherapy for reported cool sensation pain relief; session 15 or 20 minutes, anesthesia numbness. In conclusion, applied reduced recommended levels analgesia (10-15 degreeC).
