Medium scale TIDs observed by Radio interferometry and differential Doppler techniques

摘要: Abstract Ionospheric irregularities have been observed with the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope monitoring celestial radio sources and at Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute De Bilt using differential Doppler measurements. This paper gives a description of observing techniques used analysis data. These observations were made during first three months 1983. The merits our technique are compared those some other more commonly techniques. Climatological characteristics ionospheric waves described similar carried out 1982. As in 1982 data, direction propagation medium scale TIDs is found to be mainly towards southwest. A Fourier amplitudes measured shows that typically 12 h 24 period equal strength exist On basis we propose may generated by atmospheric tides.
