摘要: PURPOSE To compare the preferential hyperacuity perimeter (PHP) with an Amsler grid in detection of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). METHODS Patients underwent refraction, visual acuity examination, PHP, and photography. RESULTS One hundred fifty patients participated trial. Of 19 eyes neovascular AMD, (100%) were positive on 10 (53%), grid. 27 geographic atrophy, 26 (96%) 12 (44%), 20 intermediate 14 (70%) 4 (20%), 51 early 21 (41%) (8%), 33 no 6 (18%) none, Thus, 80 (68%) 117 AMD had a while 30 (26%) results examination (P < 0.001, McNemar test). CONCLUSION The PHP greater sensitivity, although relatively high rate false-positive for healthy individuals, than detecting AMD-related lesions.
