摘要: Abstract This paper estimates the effect that premiums in Medicaid have on length of enrollment program beneficiaries. Whether and how low income-families will participate exchanges states’ programs depends crucially structure amounts they face. I take advantage discontinuities Wisconsin's to identify effects for low-income families. use a 3-year administrative panel data estimate these effects. find an increase premium from 0 10 dollars per month results 1.4 fewer months enrolled reduces probability remaining full year by 12 percentage points, but other discrete changes do not affect or much smaller effect. no evidence enrollees intentionally decreasing labor supply order avoid premiums.
