摘要: The combustion and emission characteristics of inedible oils their derivatives are quite different from those mineral diesel; in particular, present higher molecular, relative density, vaporization characteristics. These properties exert great impacts on the fuel spray as well interactions this with air chamber. Thus, examining characteristics, including cone angle, tip penetration, area, atomization, is necessary. mainly depend injection pressure, viscosity, ambient temperature. Among these parameters, pressure significantly affects structure. In study, experiments were conducted using diesel, jatropha oil methyl ester, karanja two biodiesel blended fuels (JB20 KB20)] a diesel engine pressures. Optical techniques for visualization image processing very efficient tools analyzing parameters tested fuels. Macroscopic properties, such acquired images captured by high-speed video camera. Sauter mean diameter volume all also estimated. Experimental results showed that blends demonstrate features fuel. KB100 presented highest penetration followed JB100 JB20, KB20 diesel. Diesel best KB20, JB100. exhibited better at pressures than lower ones.
