Carrier-envelope phase-dependent atomic coherence and quantum beats

摘要: It is shown that the carrier-envelope phase (CEP) of few-cycle laser pulses has profound effects on bound-state atomic coherence even in weak-field regime where both tunneling and multiphoton ionization hardly take place. The thus produced to be able mapped onto CEP-dependent signal quantum beats (and other quantum-interference phenomena) hence might used extract information about ultimately measure phase.
