摘要: Abstract The molecular dynamics of poly(vinyl acetate), PVAc, and poly(hydroxy butyrate), PHB, as an amorphous/crystalline polymer blend has been investigated using broadband dielectric spectroscopy over wide ranges frequency (10−2 to 105 Hz), temperature, composition. Two relaxation processes were detected for pure PHB at high low a given constant temperature above the Tg. These two peaks are related α α′ amorphous rigid regions in sample, respectively. α′-relaxation process was found be composition dependent constrained region located between adjacent lamellae inside lamellar stacks. In addition, behaves typical glass process, i.e., originated from micro-Brownian cooperative reorientation highly constraints polymeric segments. α-relaxation is crystals PHB/PVAc blends, only one observed all measured blends Tg’s components. This last finding suggested that components coupled together due small difference (ΔTg = 35 °C) favorable thermodynamics interaction consequently less dynamic heterogeneity blends. by DSC followed linear behavior with indicating miscible entire range also rich content up 30 wt% PHB. greatly influenced blending, strength, peak broadness, loss maximum dependent. measurements confirmed slowing down crystallization
