摘要: The outer membrane proteins O-8 and O-9 were specifically bound to the peptidoglycan sacculus in sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) solution. Other cellular failed interact with under same conditions. When was preheated SDS solution, binding did not take place. Optimum observed at pH 8 presence of 5 mM Mg2+. A high concentration chloride strongly inhibited binding. effects these factors on bindings required neither nor free form Braun's lipoprotein, either protein necessary for other. Proteins also found when it prepared from cells solution 60 degrees. dilution experiment showed that complex an artifact. mode interaction between preparation similar reassembled O-8-O-9-peptidoglycan complex, as judged sensitivity temperature. physiological importance is discussed relation assembly cell surface.
