摘要: Abstract This paper reviews recent work on reciprocal altruism in primates with the aim of highlighting roles that partner choice may have had evolution primate altruism, and emotions play supporting primates' ability to exert such choice. Individual studies meta‐analyses show reciprocate a variety behaviors benefit other individuals (be they altruistic or mutualistic). These include grooming, agonistic support, food sharing. Analyses time frame these exchanges suggest deploy their among group mates basis long‐term accounts received, are thus not constrained immediate reciprocation. We argue system emotional bookkeeping benefits received be at hypothesis is consistent behavioral data our current knowledge about cognitive abilities neurobiological correlates affiliative behaviors. Investigations role social life help us bridging gap between apparent complexity relative simplicity abilities.
