摘要: The Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) is a multibeam waveform lidar on the International Space Station. GEDI data are producing globally representative estimates of aboveground carbon stocks using measurements of vertical height profiles (waveforms). Here we document transferability of GEDI04_A models from simulated to recorded GEDI data using a comprehensive set of GEDI-ALS crossovers and samples of recorded GEDI data within all prediction strata in the GEDI domain (51.6 degrees NS latitude). GEDI-ALS crossovers are locations where recorded GEDI data intersect discrete-return ALS. We removed systematic geolocation error and generated simulated GEDI waveforms using the GEDI waveform simulator.
