This diversity in backgrounds and interests exemplifies the wide interdisciplinary nature of the field of Robotic Musicianship. Since 2005 we have brought together this wide range of perspectives, collaborating among ourselves and others at the Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology, to develop the robotic musicians described in this book.
