IRISH MACHINE VISION AND IMAGE PROCESSING CONFERENCE

摘要: This year, the number of submissions shows a wide range of applications including image and video compression, watermarking, pattern recognition, face recognition and machine vision applications. Our goal was to sustain diverse aspects of the topics of interest in both academic and industrial applications. This year's conference programme comprises 24 full papers, 8 posters and 2 invited plenary lectures.We are particularly please to have, Professor Nigel M. Allinson (Sheffield University) and Professor Charlse M. Falco (University of Arizona) as this year's invited speakers, who will provide a global perspective of face recognition and quantitative analysis of qualitative images. The organisers would like to thank all of our invited speakers, authors of technical papers and posters and also the reviewers who have made a tremendous job by returning their reviews in a relatively short time. We would also like to thank Professor Danny Crookes and Dr. Pat Corr, the Head of School of Computer Science, for their guidance and support throughout the conference organisation.
