摘要: Topics presented include the design of a spatial-chromatic human vision model for evaluating full-color display systems, task performance and contrast polarity on hard copy and video displays, perceived sharpness in moving images, and retinocortical processing of spatial patterns. Also presented are image resolution by simulated bipolar cells of the human central fovea, high resolution and image compression using the discrete cosine transform, the parallel, semiparallel, and serial processing of visual hyperacuity, and a hybrid scheme for color dithering. Also addressed are a perceptually tuned subband image coder, visually optimized image reconstruction, multiple channel surface orientation from texture, and the role of visual attributes in texture perception.
