摘要: Objectives Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) might be improved by adapting a realtime image-guided approach, using holmium microspheres as opposed to the currently more widely available yttrium microspheres. This study explores the potential cost-effectiveness of real-time image-guided holmium SIRT for patients with inoperable liver metastases compared to conventional yttrium or holmium SIRT from a healthcare perspective. Methods A health state-transition model was developed to compare the two strategies. Input data were derived from literature and expert opinion. Quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) and costs were modelled for a 3-year horizon. To address uncertainty threshold and sensitivity analysis were conducted.
