Comparison of Superficial Femoral Artery Lumen and Wall Volumes under Variable MRI Field Strengths Using a Bilateral Low Extremity and a 6cm Phased Array Coil

摘要: 1. Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is commonly associated with impaired lower extremity function. 2. Patients with PAD are known to accumulate plaque in the superficial femoral artery (SFA). 3. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the SFA vasculature is challenging due to a large field of view. 4. To identify optimum imaging conditions, we quantified and compared SFA volumes using different scanner setups at two field strengths (1.5 T and 3.0 T).
