摘要: S ex in its many forms is an almost universal human practice. According to data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), 97% of men and 98% of women aged 15–44 in the United States report having had penile-vaginal intercourse; 90% of men and 88% of women report having had oral sex with an opposite sex partner; 40% of men and 35% of women report have had anal sex with an opposite sex partner; 6.5% of men report having had oral or anal sex with another man; and 11% of women report having had a sexual experience with another woman (Mosher, Chandra, & Jones, 2005). Further, in a global survey of over 26,000 adults spanning 26 countries, two-thirds (67%) reported having had sex at least once in the past week, with rates ranging from 38% in Japan, and 57% in the United States, to 89% in Greece (Wylie, 2009). Sex is also an important health behavior, one that has been shown to have significant impacts spanning physiological, psychological, and interpersonal domains.
