摘要: In this work we study the Yew forest of Monteviejo, located in the Regional Park of Picos de Europa in León (Castilla y León). It stretches between Collado de la Candanosa and Arroyo de las Regueras, belonging to Yuso river sub-basin, inside Duero basin. The objectives of this study are based on the knowledge of this yew forest conservational status, the analysis of the population structure and the popularization of this forest in order to insist on its management and conservation. Field cards were used to make notes of UTM coordinates by GPS monitoring, aspect, diameter breast height and total height of all the 368 yews studied. Data of phytosanitary status, physical, geological and botanic environment were also taken, just as faunistic evidences observed and photographs of each tree. We conclude with a general vision of the problems and threats that this yew forest suffers and the advisable management measures.
