The child soldier in Sierra Leone, the impoverished peasant in Chiapas, the Lubicon Cree family with tuberculosis, all are connected. From that conviction of connexion the global citizen moves to act from his or her compassion. Human rights, economic sufficiency and equity, ecology, democratic development, peace-all these areas of action overlap extensively. Let us begin with peace.
