摘要: Material flow analysis (also called materials flow analysis and abbreviated as MFA) belongs to the core of the analytical methods and tools of industrial ecology. The Journal of Industrial Ecology’s contents show that it is widely used for practical case studies. In the first eight volumes of the Journal, 18 articles have the explicit keyword MFA, and quite a few more could be classified as being based on MFA. Yet, it is difficult to find a coherent and comprehensive textbook that describes the methodological aspects of MFA and that shows how to apply it to practical problems. The book that comes closest to this is the publication by Baccini and Bader (1996), but the usefulness of that book is restricted to a Germanlanguage readership. It has another important restriction: it is a very scientific book, with a heavy emphasis on mathematical proofs and other foundational issues. As such, it does not provide an easy way to learn …
