A real-time chaotification method for dynamic systems with unknown parameters

摘要: In this paper, a chaotification method based on spectrum optimization in conjunction with time-delay feedback control is proposed to drive a system with unknown parameters be chaotic. A performance index is constructed to quantify the spectrum characteristic of the steady state behavior of the system. In the process of chaotification, the time delay of the time-delay feedback controller is optimally adjusted by using the Hooke-Jeeves method, until the termination criteria are satisfied. When the performance index reaches to a minimum, the system tends to the best chaotic state. Numerical simulations verify the feasibility of this chaotification method. The advantage of this method is that only the steady state response is required in a process of chaotification without knowing the system’s parameters, which makes this method easy to be applied in practical engineering.
