摘要: When a natural disaster hits a region, one of the most important infrastructure elements is the telecommunications infrastructure. The ability to communicate is paramount. It is used to locate and ascertain the status of friends and family, and help to coordinate rescue efforts. Unfortunately, in many cases, the telecommunications infrastructure is effected by the disaster itself. The effects of this could range from temporary cell site overloading to complete destruction of the site. This is a short overview of a Masters degree research and a description of a prototype system capable of rapid deployment with minimal administration.
